Fruits and tea exports from Kenya on the rise as trade volumes shrink by 3pc

Pioneer Foods enters East African cereal market

 JSE listed Pioneer Foods is acquiring a 49.8% interest in UK food processing company Weetabix’s East Africa distributing company.   The Kenya-based company has been in operation for over 40 years and has about 13 brands in its portfolio. creamer business has lifted production by 14%

 ZIMBABWE - Nestle Zimbabwe says an US$8 million investment in its creamer business has lifted production by 14%. The growth in output comes after the commissioning of the milk powders and Cremora plant in December last year by Industry and Commerce minister Mike Bimha. “We have invested US$8 million to upgrade our production capacity.
