Addressing a rally at Mnadani grounds here yesterday, Samia said CCM will also use all necessary means to end robbery incidents on Lake Victoria, where residents conduct fishing activities. "The end of such theft has come to an end.

 

We need a strong working relationship between the government and the public, especially giving timely information when one finds new faces not familiar to you" she said. Samia said that since the common activities to most residents was fishing, when in power, CCM shall set up a fish processing factory for value addition of their products that would enable them fetch better prices.

 

The fishermen have also been assured of loans, as well as advanced fishing gears to enable them operate in good environment.Samia also assured them that no one shall die of hunger though the district faces inadequate food shortage due to drought.

 

"The national food reserve has enough food. The supply shall soon be sent here , but shall be sold at affordable prices, until next harvest" she assured them. On the request to upgrade Mwibara to district status, Samia said they should follow all the needed procedures and the meet the requirements and submit the proposal to the Prime Minister's office.

 

She also pledged the construction of district hospital since that is part and parcel of CCM election manifesto which guarantees, hospital to every district in the country.

 

During the rally, CCM Mwibara constituency candidate, Kangi Lugora disassociated himself with Chadema presidential candidate, Edward Lowassa, who was once his close supporter. Instead, he urged the public, to vote for Dr John Magufuli, who said has all the qualities for one to be president.
